TRAILERS: First Look At “The Book Of Negroes” Mini-Series Coming To BET + Larenz Tate & Sharon Leal Star In TV One’s 'White Water'

Black History Month is right around the corner. And in honor of the celebratory month, BET will be premiering a new mini-series titled “The Book of Negroes”. Also, TV One has a new movie starring Larenz Tate and Sharon Leal called White Water. See the trailers inside….

BET will be bringing a new mini-series to the network just in time for Black History Month.

“The Book of Negroes” is based on the award-winning novel by Lawrence Hill, which tells the story of Aminata Diallo and her powerful journey as she tries to escape to freedom. Get On Up actress Aunjanue Ellis will star as Aminata and she will be joined by Cuba Gooding Jr. and Louis Gossett Jr.

“The Book of Negroes” premieres February 16th at 8/7/c on BET.

TV One will be bringing a new original film titled White Water, starring “House of Lies” star Larenz Tate and Addicted star Sharon Leal.

The drama film will explore racism and segregation during the Civil Rights Movement as a young boy becomes obsessed with wanting to drink from the whites-only drinking fountain. Once he gathers the courage to do it, things get ugly. Peep the trailer above.
